Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad.
Human trafficking is a major concern worldwide, which is affecting the human race like a plague. In India too it’s a very big problem. It affects more than 50 – 60 million people, who are either forced into sex trade or forced labour. Trafficking is either done within the country which is 90% of the total or from outside which is 10% of the total wherein, children and women are smuggled. According to UNICEF 12.5 million people are engaged in this hazardous occupation.
